MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY
Low Carbon Alliance Ltd. (the “Company”) is a special-purpose company set up to manage the development of solar farm and battery storage projects.
Transparency statement
This statement is made on behalf of Low Carbon Alliance Ltd. pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities during the year to 31 December 2021.
Our commitment and supply chain
Modern slavery is a term used to encompass slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded and child labour and human trafficking. Human trafficking is where a person arranges or facilitates the travel of another person with a view to that person being exploited. Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.
As an organisation that believes passionately in our people, our objective is to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is not used in our operations or in our supply chain. We are committed to implementing systems and controls which will ensure there is no slavery, forced or compulsory human labour, abuse of power over vulnerable individuals, human trafficking or any other form of exploitation as contemplated by the Modern Slavery Act 2015 in any part of our business or supply chain. Our supply chain is essentially subcontractors and various service providers.
Low Carbon Alliance Ltd. believes in building long-term relationships with the supply chain leading to more open and collaborative working relationships which will help us to evaluate the risk of modern slavery. We welcome the transparency encouraged by the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and our statement sets out for the public, our clients and suppliers, the steps that Low Carbon Alliance are taking in this regard.

Our commitment to anti-slavery and human trafficking demonstrates a commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
Our anti-bribery and corruption policy shows our commitment to upholding and complying with all anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws. We take a zero-tolerance attitude to bribery and corruption.
Our whistleblowing policy encourages a free, open, and honest culture. The senior management teams recognise that effective and honest communication is essential if concerns about breaches or failures are effectively dealt with and our success is ensured.
Our equal opportunities and discrimination policy outlines our commitment to taking all necessary steps to prevent unlawful discrimination in the workplace and to take positive action to promote equal opportunities for employees and potential employees.
Supplier due diligence
This policy applies to all persons working on behalf of Low Carbon Alliance Ltd; this includes directors, agency workers, contractors and suppliers.
If Low Carbon Alliance Ltd. becomes aware of any contractor, supplier or any individuals working on our behalf found to have breached this policy, appropriate action will be taken.
